At the heart of L’Amorino is a story woven from the sun-drenched landscapes of Sicily and a deep-rooted respect for the rituals of the table. This vision is a “clash” of two distinct cultures, anchored in the belief that family is the foundation of everything.
A Legacy of Hospitality
L’Amorino represents a bold new chapter for Oliviana and Serdar. For the past 12 years, they have been the heart and soul behind the Bayshore Mediterranean Grill, a cornerstone of the community where they honed their craft. This new venture is more than just a restaurant; it is “a niche for the niche, ” focusing on the high-definition intersection of heritage, technical artistry, and the ancient rituals of the land.
Oliviana: The Art of the Craft
Raised in Palermo within a family of artists, Oliviana’s world was shaped by beauty—from antique furniture to the soaring arias of the opera. This background led her to the prestigious Polimoda fashion school, where she mastered couture and historical garment techniques. She brings that same meticulous “couture” approach to the kitchen. Her philosophy of “slow living” was born in childhood summers spent in the Madonie Mountains of Pollina. To Oliviana, cooking is a sacred rite, translating memories of organic, intentional living into a refined culinary experience.
Serdar: Generosity and the Land
Serdar’s journey began in the open air, where his connection to nature was forged in a home filled with the scents of fresh butter and homemade cheese. Growing up in a large family, he learned that the land provides for those who treat it with respect.
An avid fisherman and hunter, Serdar views these pursuits as acts of stewardship. Following the seasons, he maintains the ancient tradition of sharing the surplus with neighbors—an innate generosity that defines the soul of L’Amorino.
The Heart of Our Home
While their professional experience is vast—enriched by Serdar’s creative background in media—their greatest inspiration is their four-year-old daughter, Elanur. She is the “why” behind every dish, representing the next generation of the values they hold dear. At L’Amorino, we don’t just serve food; we offer a sanctuary for those seeking something specific and authentic.
